Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ServiceSift collects, uses, shares, and stores information when you use service-sift.com and purchase a ServiceSift report.
ServiceSift is operated by Dane Dykman d/b/a ServiceSift, South Ogden, Utah 84405.
1. Who We Are
ServiceSift is a SaaS product that generates a business operations report based on public Google Maps review data for a business URL submitted by the purchaser.

2. What Information We Collect and How
We collect the following information in connection with purchases, authentication, report generation, report delivery, and support.
Information you submit or cause to be submitted
- Purchaser email address, collected by Stripe at checkout
- Business name submitted at checkout
- Google Maps business URL submitted at checkout
- Location label submitted at checkout
- Support communications sent to support@servicesift.com
Payment and order information
- Stripe payment metadata, including session ID, payment intent ID, and order amount
Account and authentication information
- Supabase auth account tied to the purchaser email through magic link login
- IP address and session/auth logs generated through Supabase Auth
Report and application data
- Report UUID
- Generated HTML report content stored in Supabase
Third-party business content used to generate reports
- Public Google Maps review data and business data scraped via Apify for the submitted URL
This is publicly visible third-party content tied to the submitted business listing. It is not personal data of the purchaser.
Information we do not collect
- No credit card numbers are collected by ServiceSift. Card data is handled entirely by Stripe.
- No passwords are collected because ServiceSift uses magic link authentication only.
- No analytics or advertising tracking pixels are used in the main app.
- No affiliate or referral data is collected.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Process your purchase
- Create and manage your magic link-based account
- Generate your report
- Store and deliver your report
- Send transactional emails, including your report link
- Maintain records for tax, accounting, and chargeback handling
- Provide customer support
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot service issues
We do not use your information for advertising profiling, affiliate tracking, or cross-site behavioral advertising.
4. Third-Party Processors
ServiceSift uses third-party service providers to operate the product. These providers receive only the information needed for their role.
Stripe
Stripe processes checkout and payments.
Stripe receives:
- Purchaser email
- Payment amount
- Business name
- Google Maps URL
- Report ID through session metadata
Stripe collects card data directly. ServiceSift does not receive or store full payment card numbers.
Apify
Apify is used to scrape publicly visible Google Maps data for the business URL submitted by the purchaser.
Apify receives:
- The submitted Google Maps URL
Anthropic Claude API
Anthropic is used to generate the report content.
Anthropic receives:
- Business name
- Location
- The full scraped public review dataset
ServiceSift does not send purchaser email or payment data to Anthropic.
Supabase
Supabase is used for authentication, storage, and application data.
Supabase stores:
- Purchaser email
- Auth records
- Report HTML
- Purchase records
- Scraped business data
- Related application and logging data
Resend
Resend is used to send transactional delivery emails.
Resend receives:
- Purchaser email address
- Report URL
Google Fonts (Inter)
ServiceSift uses Inter via next/font/google.
Google may receive the standard request needed to deliver font files through its font CDN.
5. AI-Generated Content and Data Disclosure
ServiceSift reports are generated using the Anthropic Claude API.
The inputs sent to Anthropic include:
- Business name
- Location
- Public Google Maps review data scraped for the submitted business URL
ServiceSift does not send purchaser email or payment information to Anthropic for report generation.
Anthropic states that its commercial API does not use customer inputs and outputs for model training by default. Ad hoc deletion of data sent to Anthropic is not available through ServiceSift.
Because reports are AI-generated, they may contain mistakes, omissions, or imperfect interpretations. The report is intended as an informational business analysis tool.
6. Report Access and URL Security
Reports are delivered through a private unique URL based on a UUID.
Important points:
- The report URL is not session-gated
- Anyone who obtains the URL can view the report
- Purchasers should treat the report URL as a private link
If you believe your report URL has been shared or accessed without your consent, contact support@servicesift.com immediately.
7. Data Retention
ServiceSift retains different categories of data for different periods:
- Purchase and payment records: retained as required for tax and chargeback purposes, with a minimum of 7 years recommended
- Report HTML and stored files: retained indefinitely unless deletion is requested
- Auth and session records: retained according to Supabase defaults
- Support communications: retained as needed to resolve disputes and support issues
If you want your account or report data deleted, email support@servicesift.com.
8. Your Rights and Deletion Requests
You may request deletion of your ServiceSift account and report data by emailing support@servicesift.com.
Please note:
- Some information may need to be retained for legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, or chargeback reasons
- Purchase and payment-related records may be retained even after account or report deletion where required or reasonably necessary
- If your report has already been generated and data has already been sent to third-party processors as part of that process, ServiceSift may not be able to retrieve or delete all downstream records on demand
- ServiceSift does not currently provide an in-app method for reviewing or correcting stored information; requests should be sent by email
9. Security
ServiceSift uses reasonable technical and administrative safeguards to protect the information it stores and processes.
That said:
- No system can guarantee absolute security
- Reports are accessible through a private URL and are not protected by session authentication
- Anyone with the report URL can access the report
If you suspect unauthorized access, contact support@servicesift.com immediately.
10. Children’s Privacy
ServiceSift is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Purchasers must be at least 18 years old to buy and use ServiceSift.
If ServiceSift learns that it has knowingly collected personal information from a child under 13, it will take reasonable steps to delete that information.
11. California Privacy Rights (CalOPPA)
If you are a California user, this section applies to you.
Categories of personal information collected
ServiceSift may collect the following categories of personal information from purchasers and users:
- Identifiers, such as email address, IP address, report UUID, and authentication/session-related identifiers
- Commercial information, such as payment amount, order details, Stripe session metadata, and payment intent metadata
- Internet or network activity information, such as authentication and session logs generated through Supabase Auth
- Customer support communications
- Business submission information provided at checkout, including business name, Google Maps URL, and location label
Categories of third parties with whom information may be shared
ServiceSift may share relevant information with:
- Payment processors
- Hosting, database, and authentication providers
- Email delivery providers
- AI processing providers
- Data scraping providers
- Font/CDN providers as needed to load site resources
Review and change requests
ServiceSift does not currently offer an in-app process for reviewing or changing stored personal information. Requests can be sent to support@servicesift.com.
Sale of personal information
ServiceSift does not sell personal information.
CCPA status
ServiceSift does not currently meet CCPA applicability thresholds and does not currently offer a separate CCPA rights workflow. California users may still contact support@servicesift.com with privacy questions or deletion requests.
12. Do Not Track
ServiceSift does not respond to browser Do Not Track (DNT) signals.
ServiceSift also does not use cross-site analytics tracking or advertising tracking in the main app.
ServiceSift does not knowingly allow other parties to collect personal information about your online activities over time and across different websites through the main app for cross-site tracking purposes. Standard technical requests may still occur for service delivery, such as requests needed to load Google Fonts.
13. Changes to This Policy
ServiceSift may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
If a change is material, ServiceSift will update the Effective Date at the top of this page and post the revised Privacy Policy on service-sift.com. Your continued use of the service after the updated policy is posted means the updated policy will apply going forward.
